As an Indianapolis wedding photographer, I’m lucky to work all over Indiana—and Alexis and Payton’s wedding was such a fun reminder of why I love traveling for my couples. Their October wedding at The Stables was my first time photographing at this venue, and I left genuinely impressed.

From the moment we arrived, the owners and staff made everyone feel welcomed and taken care of. The day flowed smoothly, the property was beautifully maintained, and everything felt thoughtfully organized—which makes a hugedifference on a wedding day.

From a photography standpoint, this venue made the day flow effortlessly…The owner gave us a ride around the property so we could take advantage of multiple photo locations. That extra hospitality allowed us to capture a great variety of portraits without feeling rushed—and it added a little fun adventure energy to the day.

While I’m based in Indianapolis, I love when a venue strikes that perfect balance of charm, professionalism, and efficiency. The Stables did exactly that.

Perfect October Wedding Weather

We couldn’t have asked for better fall weather—sunny skies, a calm breeze, and those warm October tones that make everything feel a little extra magical. With a large guest count and a full timeline, the venue and vendor team did an amazing job keeping things moving while still letting the day feel relaxed and joyful.

Alexis & Payton: Pure Fun from Start to Finish

Alexis and Payton are an absolute blast. Alexis is hilarious, incredibly go-with-the-flow, and kept everyone laughing throughout the entire day. Their energy set the tone, and it was clear how loved and supported they are by their family and friends.

I also loved working with this family so much—it truly felt like being welcomed in.

You may recognize these two from their engagement session at Coxhall Gardens last fall, which made it extra special to photograph their wedding day and see everything come full circle.
