A Beautiful Maternity Session with Val & CJ at the Historic Ambassador House and Heritage Gardens

There’s something extra special about photographing friends—especially when it’s someone as dear to me as Val, my good friend and occasional second shooter. I had the absolute joy of capturing this beautiful season of life for Val and her husband, CJ, as they eagerly awaited the arrival of their sweet baby girl.

Val and CJ made the trip all the way from Fort Wayne to Fishers, IN, for their maternity session, and I couldn’t be more honored that they chose me to document this milestone. We explored the Historic Ambassador House and Heritage Gardens, a location that’s quickly becoming one of my favorite places to shoot. The lush gardens, meticulously kept landscaping, and dreamy natural lighting create the perfect backdrop for sessions like this—romantic, peaceful, and timeless.

For those of you who’ve worked with me before, you might recognize Val from your own wedding day! She’s been behind the scenes, capturing those unforgettable moments alongside me, and seeing her step in front of the camera—glowing with excitement and love—was incredibly heartwarming.

This session was full of tender moments, laughter, and sweet anticipation. Just weeks after our time together, Val and CJ welcomed their beautiful baby girl into the world, and I couldn’t be happier for their growing family.

I’m so grateful to have shared this experience with them and even more excited to watch their new adventure unfold.
