Emma’s In-Home Newborn Session |Greenwood, IN

There’s nothing sweeter than an in-home newborn session, especially when it’s filled with love, excitement, and a few surprises along the way! As a newborn photographer in Greenwood, Indiana, I recently had the absolute pleasure of photographing baby Emma’s first days in her cozy home, and her story is one I’ll never forget.

I first met Emma’s mom, Meg, through the Greenwood Mom Walk group about a year ago. I’ve been following along on Instagram and was so excited to catch up with her recently at a Galentine’s party. At the time, Meg was 35 weeks pregnant, glowing, and eagerly anticipating the arrival of her newest little one. What none of us knew was that just hours after leaving the party that Friday night, she would be meeting her sweet baby girl much earlier than expected! When Meg told me, I literally screamed—I just couldn’t believe it!

Meg and her husband chose to keep their baby’s gender a surprise until birth, and they were overjoyed to welcome another baby girl into their family. Emma is already so loved and has the best built-in playmates—big sister Sophie and big brother Huey—who are sure to keep life fun and exciting for years to come.

I was honored to be welcomed into their Greenwood home to capture this precious season of life. Their space was filled with warmth and love, the perfect setting for Emma’s first portraits. The way Meg and her husband looked at their newest little love, the gentle way Sophie and Huey interacted with their baby sister—every moment was pure magic.

These are the moments that make in-home newborn photography so special. There’s something so natural and intimate about capturing a growing family in their own space, where everyone feels comfortable and relaxed. It allows for the sweetest, most genuine connections to shine through.

Emma, you are already so incredibly loved, and I can’t wait to watch you grow! Meg, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey—it has been such a joy capturing these milestones for your family.
