There is nothing sweeter than capturing the first days of a newborn’s life, and I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Baby Shepherd’s in-home newborn session in Greenwood, Indiana. This session was extra special as Shepard was welcomed by his loving family, including his proud big sister, Piper!

From the moment I arrived, I was in love with their beautifully decorated home. The nursery was picture-perfect, styled with a warm and inviting aesthetic that made for the dreamiest backdrop. Shepherd’s mom has such an eye for design, and it was a joy to incorporate the nursery’s cozy details into their photos.

Big sister Piper was an absolute delight! She was so excited to be a part of the session, and I loved capturing her sweet interactions with her baby brother. She was such a great helper, showing off her big sister skills and adding so much fun to the session. There’s nothing like seeing the early bond between siblings!

Baby Shephed was nothing short of amazing. At just under two weeks old, he was incredibly strong, already breaking out of his swaddle like a little escape artist! I was shocked that he stayed awake the entire session, soaking in all the love and attention. With his gorgeous hair and big, bright eyes, he was an absolute dream to photograph.

One of my favorite moments from this session was debuting my new Moses basket for some classic newborn portraits. It was the perfect touch for creating timeless and cozy images of sweet Shepherd as he snuggled up and enjoyed all the cuddles.
