Brianna and Jamison were so much fun to photograph during their engagement session at the beautiful Coxhall Gardens in Carmel, Indiana! As a Carmel Indiana wedding photographer, I’m always excited to shoot at Coxhall Gardens—it’s a local favorite for its dreamy willow trees, waterfront views, and peaceful charm. This session was no exception.

The couple arrived early with great attitudes and fun, lighthearted energy. Even though the forecast showed clear skies all day, we were on edge watching clouds roll in throughout the session. Thankfully, the rain held off, giving us dramatic skies and perfect light without any interruptions.

We started the session with some timeless, traditional poses near the amphitheater and gardens. Brianna and Jamison looked incredible together and their natural chemistry made every shot feel effortless. After warming up with classic portraits, we made our way over to a more meaningful spot—under the willow trees near the water. This spot wasn’t chosen at random: the couple has shared many sweet moments and picnics here throughout their relationship.

What made this session truly special was how they incorporated their own picnic setup into the shoot. They brought their own cozy blanket, snacks, and drinks—transforming the shoot into a romantic date night at the park. After our session wrapped up, they stayed behind to enjoy the evening together, and I absolutely love that they did that.
