Baby Cate’s in-home newborn session was the sweetest little morning! Her family lives just a few blocks from Main Street in downtown Zionsville, which is one of my favorite areas to photograph. The homes there have so much character — every time I visit, I fall a little more in love with this charming town.

Their house was cozy, light-filled, and beautifully styled with soft neutral tones. As someone who adores interior design, one of my favorite parts of being a lifestyle photographer is getting to see how each family’s space reflects their personality. I always leave sessions feeling so inspired by the creativity and warmth that families bring into their homes.

Baby Cate was wide awake for most of her session, giving us the cutest little expressions. She was so curious and alert, taking in everything around her. We focused on simple, natural poses and candid family moments — all the tiny details that make the newborn stage so special. The soft neutral palette her mom chose for outfits tied everything together perfectly and complemented the home’s decor beautifully.
