October 6, 2025
There’s just something magical about mornings at Newfields—and Gabby and Coleman’s engagement session reminded me exactly why I love photographing there so much. As an Indianapolis engagement photographer, I’m always searching for that perfect combination of light, location, and emotion—and we had all three that Saturday morning.
We met right as the museum opened, and honestly, it was the best decision. The gardens were quiet, the light was soft and golden, and we didn’t have to pause or wait for a single crowd to pass. It felt like we had the entire place to ourselves—a rare treat at one of the most iconic engagement photo locations in Indianapolis.
Gabby and Coleman made the early start more than worth it. They drove all the way up from Bloomington for their session, and I’m so honored they chose to make that trip. Their connection is effortless—sweet, natural, and full of laughter. From the first click of the shutter, it was clear they were completely at ease with each other, and it made capturing their love feel effortless.
These two are tying the knot in October 2026 in Spencer, Indiana at Abram Farms, and I’m already counting down the days. Their wedding is going to be one for the books, and I’m so excited to be part of their journey from engagement to “I do.”
If you’re newly engaged and looking for timeless, romantic engagement photos in Indianapolis or beyond, Newfields is one of my favorite spots—and I’d love to help you plan a session that feels just as relaxed and beautiful as this one.
