There’s something so special about creating a calm, welcoming space for newborn sessions—especially when families travel to be here. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing sweet baby Tuxon, who made the trip from Monticello to my downtown Indianapolis studio for his newborn session.
From the moment we started, Tuxon was an absolute dream. He slept soundly, transitioned seamlessly between poses, and truly made the entire session flow effortlessly. It’s always amazing to see how each baby brings their own unique energy to a session, and Tuxon could not have been more cooperative. Sessions like this remind me just how rewarding newborn photography can be.
Lately, I’ve been spending more time working out of my studio, and it has completely transformed the experience—not just for me, but for the families who come in. Having a dedicated, cozy space allows everything to feel more relaxed and intentional. From controlled lighting to a quiet environment, every detail is designed to keep babies comfortable and parents at ease.
For this session, we focused on soft tones and timeless setups that really highlight those tiny newborn features. Tuxon fit perfectly into every setup, and his calm demeanor made it easy to capture a beautiful variety of images. These early days pass so quickly, and being able to preserve them in a meaningful way is something I never take for granted.
If you’re expecting and considering a newborn session, having a studio setting can make all the difference. It provides a peaceful, stress-free environment where you can simply show up and let me take care of the rest.
I’m so grateful to continue welcoming families into my Indianapolis studio and creating these special memories. Baby Tuxon’s session was truly a joy, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead as I continue to grow and use this space more every day.
