A Year in Review: A Heartfelt Thank You and a Look Ahead

As we wrap up another incredible year, I can’t help but reflect on the countless moments that made 2024 so special. From the joyful “I dos” to the quiet moments shared between family members, it’s been a year filled with love, laughter, and beautiful memories. As a photographer, I am so fortunate to be able to capture these moments, and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who allowed me to be part of their journey.

29 Weddings Across the Heartland

This year, I had the honor of photographing 29 weddings across four states—Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. Each one was unique, from the intimate, emotional ceremonies to the grand, joyous celebrations. It’s always such a privilege to witness the love and commitment between couples on one of the most important days of their lives.

I feel incredibly lucky to have worked with so many wonderful couples, each with their own story to tell. Whether it was capturing the first look, the vows, or the dance floor celebrations, every moment was a reminder of why I love what I do. A huge thank you to all the couples who trusted me to document these once-in-a-lifetime memories.

21 Engagement Sessions, 4 Proposals, and So Many Smiles

In addition to weddings, I had the pleasure of capturing 21 engagement sessions and 4 proposals this year. From the excitement in the air during surprise proposals to the joy shared between couples as they stepped into this next chapter of their lives, these sessions were filled with pure happiness. There’s something so special about the anticipation and the love that radiates from couples before their big day.

I can’t wait to see where these couples go next, and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to freeze those perfect moments in time.

48 Family Sessions and 30 Mommy and Me Mini Sessions

Family photography is always close to my heart, and this year, I had the privilege of working with so many amazing families. 48 family sessions allowed me to capture everything from playful moments with little ones to the quiet, tender interactions between parents and children. The connections between families are always so beautiful to photograph—there’s nothing quite like the bond between loved ones.

One of my favorite highlights of the year was hosting 30 “Mommy and Me” mini sessions for Mother’s Day. It’s always a joy to capture the love between mothers and their children, and these sessions were extra special. The laughter, the hugs, and those sweet little moments will always hold a special place in my heart.

Gratitude for the Vendors and Teams Who Made it All Possible

None of this would be possible without the talented vendors, coordinators, and creatives who make every wedding, engagement session, and family portrait come to life. This year, I had the pleasure of working with some truly remarkable people who put their heart and soul into making each event a memorable one. From florists and hair stylists to caterers and planners, thank you for all the support and collaboration. You make my job a joy!

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we look ahead to 2025, I am filled with excitement for what’s to come. The new couples, the growing families, and all the wonderful moments waiting to be captured. There’s so much to look forward to, and I can’t wait to be a part of it all.
