Lockerbie Square in downtown Indianapolis is one of my favorite spots for engagement photos. The historic cobblestone streets, charming architecture, and seasonal florals create such a romantic setting. On this particular evening, we had the most magical summer light—the kind of golden glow that makes every photo feel dreamy. With the textures of the old brick, glowing sun, and colorful florals surrounding us, my creativity was completely sparked.

Ella and Brayden were a dream to photograph here. They laughed, held each other close, and truly let their personalities shine through in every shot. The energy between them was so refreshing and reminded me why I love being an Indianapolis wedding photographer.

Indiana War Memorial Engagement Photos

After exploring Lockerbie Square, we headed over to the Indiana War Memorial for a more formal downtown backdrop. The clean architecture, cityscape views, and open space gave us the perfect contrast to the cozy, romantic vibe of Lockerbie. Ella and Brayden changed into a dressier outfit, and the combination of elegance with their playful energy made this part of the session just as fun as the first.

We laughed some more, chatted about their wedding plans, and soaked up the last bits of golden hour. It was the perfect way to end an incredible evening.

Ella and Brayden will be tying the knot in June 2026, and after spending this evening together, I already know their wedding day will be full of the same laughter and love they brought to their engagement session.
