A Long-Awaited Engagement Session at Butler University: Maureen & Alex
After months of rescheduling (thanks, COVID!), I finally had the pleasure of photographing Maureen and Alex’s engagement session at Butler University. These two were so patient throughout the process, and it was definitely worth the wait. Their session took place on the beautiful Butler University campus, a place that’s near and dear to Alex’s heart since it’s where he attended college.
We were lucky enough to have the campus almost entirely to ourselves, with the iconic Holcomb Gardens park practically empty, which made for the perfect setting. The quiet, serene atmosphere gave us the freedom to move around and explore without any distractions. We took full advantage of the empty campus and park, chasing the beautiful, warm light as the sun began to set. The combination of the lush greenery, the stunning architecture, and the golden light created the perfect backdrop for their engagement photos.
Maureen and Alex are such a wonderful couple, and it was clear from the start that they share an incredible connection. Their love for each other really shone through in every shot, and it was so much fun capturing their chemistry and excitement about their upcoming wedding. I can’t wait to celebrate their big day this fall at the Indiana State Museum—it’s going to be an amazing event. And their ceremony at the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Broad Ripple is going to be just as beautiful.
It’s always an honor to be part of such a special time in a couple’s life, and I’m beyond excited to continue the celebration with Maureen and Alex this fall. Congratulations again to both of you—your wedding day will be here before you know it!
