Fall Maternity Photos at Holcomb Gardens

Fall mornings in Indianapolis are some of my favorite times for photos, especially when sessions take place at the beautiful Holcomb Gardens.

This particular morning was full of energy and excitement as I hosted six fall mini sessions back to back. Morning sessions are always my favorite—especially for families with young kids. Everyone tends to be happier, more relaxed, and ready to explore the gardens before the day gets busy.

A Perfect Morning for Fall Mini Sessions

The gardens looked incredible that morning. The soft early light filtering through the trees, the quiet paths, and the historic architecture make Holcomb Gardens one of the best locations in Indianapolis for maternity and family photos.

Mini sessions are short and sweet, but they still allow enough time to capture beautiful, natural moments. On this particular morning I photographed six families, each bringing their own personalities and excitement to the gardens.

The Reinking family joined me that morning for their maternity mini session, and it was such a sweet way to celebrate the final days before their baby arrived. Outdoor maternity photos allow families to relax, move around, and simply enjoy being together.

After wrapping up six wonderful mini sessions at Holcomb Gardens, I packed up my gear and headed straight to photograph a wedding later that day. It was a full day of documenting love stories—from growing families in the morning to a couple beginning their marriage in the evening.

Those kinds of days remind me just how much I love what I do.
