This session is extra special for me because Kynlee is my cousin! She’s graduating from Twin Lakes High School in 2026, and I can hardly believe it. I still remember when she was born—it feels surreal that she’s already preparing for this huge milestone.
We started her senior photos in Monticello, Indiana, which also happens to be my hometown. Photographing seniors here always feels nostalgic, but it was even more meaningful with family. I photographed Kynlee’s sister’s senior photos just last year, and it’s so fun to see this chapter continuing with the next senior in the family.
For Kynlee’s session, we wandered around downtown Monticello, making use of all the little backdrops that bring so much variety—brick walls, storefronts, and charming side streets. Having a familiar spot to photograph makes the session feel relaxed and fun, which is exactly what I want seniors to experience during their photos.
Kynlee’s boyfriend, Jarred, who is also a senior, tagged along for the evening. He kept the energy fun and made Kynlee laugh throughout her photos, which always helps capture those genuine smiles. I love when seniors bring along a friend or loved one—it makes the session even more comfortable and authentic.
Sessions like this are why I love being a senior photographer in Monticello and the surrounding Indiana areas. Each senior has their own story, personality, and vision for their session, and my goal is to bring that to life in a way that feels true to them.
If you’re a senior at Twin Lakes High School or go to school in the Monticello or Lafayette area, I’d love to help capture your senior photos in a way that celebrates who you are right now. Reach out to book your Class of 2026 senior session today!
