My Home Office Progress | Home Series

Next, we moved along to my home office. For this room, I wanted a long double desk workspace. I found my inspiration off of Pinterest and to IKEA we went!
For this room, I was really hoping for a clean, minimalistic look. I spend a lot of time in office and lots of goodies come in and out. Between product photography and flat lays- I really just needed the space to get creative!
I chose the shelving units for the base to utilize the space for storage. Below you’ll find hidden equipment and all kinds of goods. I love that you can’t readily see the shelves underneath. It keeps the space looking extra clean!

While I feel bad when I’m stuck in my office all day, Soph truly loves to lay under the new desk. I chose bookcase bases that made the desk extra tall and wide, so their is plenty of room for her underneath!

Yellow Desk Chair: Family Heirloom, came from my great grandparents Laundromat in Monon, IN. I’ve been using this chair for about 4 years now and while I love it and will hold onto it-its not ideal for sitting all day (hence the pillow and blanket)! I’ll probably rehome it to another room in my house. Our guest bedroom is white and yellow, so she *may or may not* end up there.
Behind the curtain, you’ll find a set of shelves that cases my printer and charging station. However, in its original intent-it hides our radon machine. When purchasing the home, we discovered that we had high levels of radon so we had to put in the radon machine and the ONLY space we could install it was this room. We’re in a tri-level so there are only so many options! Its okay though, I enjoy the charging station I have set up.
Also out of frame you will find my famous storage closet and flat lay table!

How cute and eclectic! It looks so unique different from a lot of the other home offices. I really love the large print behind your desk and all the cute goods popping out here and there, like the elephant!
