Patrick and Jared Proposal | He said YES! | Indianapolis Engagement

Yesterday morning I woke up to an excited call from Patrick, who was planning on proposing to his boyfriend, Jared that evening. After a few minutes of chatting about his plans, we decided to meet at Newfields to set a concrete plan of action for the big proposal. Patrick had commissioned a local artist and friend to paint a canvas of sunflowers and blue bonnets in a field together.

The blue bonnets represent Patrick, who’s from Texas and their state flower. While the sunflower is Kansas’s state flower, where Jared is from. Patrick had me place the canvas and flowers in the garden for the two to stumble upon on their stroll. When they approached, Patrick got down on one knee and Jared said YES!

I felt so incredibly blessed and honored to have been such a small part in such a big moment for these two. I can’t wait to see them continue their journey together. Congratulations Jared and Patrick!
