Why You Should Consider Golden Hour Pictures | Wedding Tips

During the summer and fall wedding seasons, I always try to give my couples the option to add sunset or golden hour portraits into their timeline. I do this for a number of reasons;

1. The light is TOO good. While we can’t always anticipate that we will have golden light (hello unpredictable Midwest weather!), at this time of day, the light is low enough to get rid of harsh shadows/highlights. If the weather is good, we will have a soft golden dreamy glow.
2. You will appreciate the alone time, even if its only for 5-10 minutes. While you’re living the best day ever, I’ve never had anyone regret the short breather we took to grab some glowy portraits!
3. At this point, you’ll be more relaxed and your pictures will reflect it!
