A Sweet In-Home Newborn Session in Zionsville, Indiana

There is something so special about photographing a brand-new baby right at home, and this sweet Zionsville newborn photography session with baby Jack was no exception.

Jack was welcomed into the family as a brand-new baby boy, and his big brother was so sweet throughout the entire session. He was so much fun, listened incredibly well, and was clearly very excited about his new role as a big brother.

We started their session inside their home with plenty of natural, lifestyle-focused photographs before heading outside for a few photos in the front yard.

I love photographing newborn sessions in the comfort of a family’s home. There is something about using the spaces where your family actually lives that makes these photographs feel more personal.

For Jack’s session, we had beautiful natural light throughout the house, which was perfect for the soft, timeless look I love for newborn photography.

And then we stepped outside!

Their front yard had the most beautiful light, and it gave us the opportunity to create a few completely different images without having to go anywhere. Sometimes the best photo location is literally right outside your front door.

Baby Jack and His Big Brother

One of my favorite parts of this session was photographing Jack with his big brother.

Big brother was such a great helper and did an amazing job throughout the session. He was sweet with Jack, followed directions so well, and gave us some really adorable moments together.

These sibling photographs are some of my favorites to look back on as kids grow. There is something about seeing a brand-new baby next to an older sibling that makes just how quickly this season changes feel very real.
