Indianapolis Family Photographer | Family Sessions in Carmel at Coxhall Gardens

As an Indianapolis family photographer, one of my favorite parts of this job is traveling to the surrounding suburbs to meet families where they feel most at home. Recently, I had the joy of photographing the Dillow family at Coxhall Gardens in Carmel, Indiana, and it was such a beautiful morning together.

The Dillows recently moved from Cincinnati to Carmel, IN to enjoy a more family-friendly community and raise their boys. I could immediately see how happy they were in their new space. Their two little guys were absolutely adorable—full of energy, curiosity, and so much fun to photograph.

We met on a Sunday morning at Coxhall Gardens, one of my favorite Carmel family photography locations. I always recommend morning sessions for families with young kids. The light is soft and dreamy, and the best part? The day hasn’t had a chance to “go off the rails” yet! I often joke that when your session happens first thing in the morning, the rough day hasn’t even happened yet—which makes for happy kiddos and relaxed parents.

The Dillow family was such a joy to capture. I love getting to document families as they settle into new chapters of life, especially those moving into the Indianapolis area. It’s such an honor to preserve these memories as their boys grow up in their new home.
