As a Carmel, Indiana family photographer, I always get excited when I’m asked to photograph big family gatherings—especially when they’re as warm and joyful as Abbie’s crew! Abbie reached out to me to schedule a family photography session that included her sweet kids, her parents, her brother, and his fiancée. It was the perfect way to kick off June!

We decided on a morning session at the always-gorgeous Coxhall Gardens in Carmel, Indiana. This park is one of my favorite spots for family photos—wide open spaces, classic architecture, and beautiful landscaping no matter the season. Somehow, this was the first truly warm day of the year, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. The light was soft and golden, the grass was green, and the gardens were just starting to bloom.

The kids were so sweet and absolutely hilarious—full of energy, personality, and charm. I loved capturing their little quirks, giggles, and candid moments with their family. You could really feel the love and connection among all of them, from the playful sibling shots to the tender moments between grandparents and grandkids.

It’s always so meaningful to photograph multiple generations together. These kinds of sessions are more than just portraits—they’re about documenting a family legacy and the people who matter most. I’m so grateful Abbie trusted me with this special time.
