Caitlin & Guy’s Spring Engagement Session at Newfields

There’s something special about spring mornings in Indianapolis, and Caitlin and Guy’s engagement session at Newfields last Sunday was the perfect reminder why. The gardens were in full bloom for their annual spring event, Spring in Bloom, creating a dreamy backdrop filled with fresh color, soft textures, and that unmistakable feeling of a new season.

We started early, and it paid off in every way. The light was absolutely perfect—soft, golden, and flattering in all the right ways. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: mornings at Newfields are where it’s at. The peaceful atmosphere, fewer crowds, and gentle light make it one of the best locations in Indianapolis for engagement photos.

Caitlin and Guy were completely natural together, which made my job easy. Whether they were walking hand-in-hand through the gardens or laughing together between shots, their connection came through effortlessly in every frame. Sessions like this are a reminder that the best photos happen when couples simply enjoy being together.

With spring blooms surrounding us and that perfect morning glow, every corner of the gardens gave us something beautiful to work with. From vibrant florals to quiet pathways, Newfields continues to be one of my favorite engagement session locations in the city.

And the best part? This is just the beginning for these two. Caitlin and Guy are getting married in just two weeks at the Conservatory at Evergreen on Indy’s west side, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of their day. If their engagement session is any indication, their wedding is going to be absolutely stunning.
