Some weddings are simply fun from start to finish, and Caitlin and Guy’s wedding at The Conservatory at Evergreen was exactly that.
From the moment I met these two at their engagement session just a couple of weeks before their wedding, I knew their day was going to be special. Usually I work with couples for months between their engagement session and wedding day, but with Caitlin and Guy, everything happened quickly. Their engagement session felt less like the beginning of our working relationship and more like the first chapter of an incredibly fun few weeks together.
By the time their wedding day arrived, it felt like we were simply picking up where we left off.
As an Indianapolis wedding photographer, I have the opportunity to work at a variety of wedding venues throughout Indiana, and The Conservatory at Evergreen quickly became one of my favorites.
The venue offers beautiful spaces for every part of the wedding day, from getting ready to the ceremony and reception. Everywhere I turned there seemed to be another gorgeous backdrop for photographs. The natural beauty of the property paired perfectly with the thoughtful details Caitlin and Guy incorporated throughout their celebration.
One of my favorite things about photographing weddings at venues like The Conservatory at Evergreen is how seamlessly the day flows. The space allows couples and guests to relax and fully enjoy the celebration without feeling rushed or disconnected from the events happening around them.
If I had to describe Caitlin and Guy in two words, it would be easy-going.
They approached their wedding day with the kind of attitude every wedding photographer hopes for. They were fully present, genuinely excited to marry each other, and focused on spending time with the people they love most.
There was no stress, no pressure for perfection, and no getting caught up in things that didn’t matter. Instead, they spent the day laughing, celebrating, and soaking in every moment.
That energy set the tone for the entire wedding.
One of the things that stood out most throughout the day was the incredible energy surrounding this couple.
Their family and friends showed up ready to celebrate. From the moment guests arrived until the final dance of the evening, spirits were high and the atmosphere was filled with joy.
As a wedding photographer, you can immediately tell when a couple is deeply loved by the people around them, and Caitlin and Guy are clearly surrounded by an amazing community. Every interaction felt genuine, supportive, and full of excitement for their future together.
Those are the weddings that create the most meaningful photographs—the ones where people feel comfortable enough to be completely themselves.
Caitlin and Guy also planned one of the most beautifully detailed weddings. Every element felt intentional and thoughtfully chosen without ever feeling overdone.
From the florals to the reception details, everything came together perfectly to complement both the venue and the couple’s personalities. The combination of elegant design and relaxed energy created a wedding day that felt both timeless and incredibly personal.

Weddings like this remind me exactly why I love what I do.
Getting to document one of the most important days in a couple’s life is always an honor, but occasionally you meet couples that make the experience even more memorable. Caitlin and Guy were those people.
By the end of the night, it honestly felt like I had spent the day celebrating friends rather than clients.
I am so grateful they trusted me to document their wedding day, and if I’m lucky, our paths will cross again in the future. Whether it’s anniversary photos, family portraits, or another milestone worth celebrating, I would photograph these two again in a heartbeat.
Congratulations, Caitlin and Guy. Thank you for allowing me to be part of such an incredible day.
